Norma Jean Sparkman

Norma Jean Sparkman went home to be with the Lord on February 15, 2017, after a long illness. Jean was born to James and Ellen Rigsby on July 11, 1930, in Pulaski County, Missouri. The family later moved to Springfield. She married Robert Harrison in 1949. Their children are Deborah, Steve, and Nancy. Widowed in 1957, Jean met and married James Sparkman in 1960. She is survived by her husband, her children, Deborah (Ron) Matthews, Steve Harrison, Nancy Harrison, step-children Becky (Tim) Havens, Melissa Bryan, Trevor (Susan) Sparkman. Grandchildren Alicia Pisciotti, Lindsay, Grayson and Callea Brown; Step-Grandchildren Andy, Dinah, Natalie Havens, Kristen Bryan. Great-grandsons Joshua, Dillon Pisciotti.

Siblings Belle Bass, Robert (Mary Lou) Rigsby, Alberta (Harold) Procter and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and sisters; Louise and husband Wayne Lewis, June and husband Jim Johnson, Martha and husband William Simovic, brother William Rigsby. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Greenlawn North. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 22, 2017, 5:00-7:00pm, at Greenlawn Funeral Home North. Celebration of life is on Thursday, February 23, 1:00pm, also at Greenlawn North. Burial at Eastlawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association.
