Marguerite Miller (Burke) 48
September 10, 2013
Marguerite died peacefully on Tuesday, September, 10, 2013 after a courageous battle with ovarian cancer.
Marguerite handled her illness with swan-like grace and unflinching determination. Even in times of pain she never once complained. Her outward sense of calm in the face of her greatest battle serves as a lesson to all of us that you need not let your battle define who you are.
Marguerite was a devoted wife and mother, and if you were lucky enough to call her a friend, a truer one could not be had.
Marguerite is survived by her loving husband John and their two children Kayla and Jim, as well as her parents Jim and Judy Burke. She is pre-deceased by her sister, Dorothy (Andy), and also survived by her sister Gina (Paul) Kuzemka, her brothers, Jim (Lori) and Ray (Danielle) Burke, grandfather Thomas J. Hickey Sr. and adoring nephews, Kevin, Jackson, RJ, Cash, Ryker and Luke, and many other relatives and friends.
A Celebration of Life Mass at St. Paul Catholic Church in St. Petersburg, Florida on Saturday, September 21, 2013 at 12 noon.
In lieu of flowers, the family is requesting donations be made in Marguerite's memory to ovariancancerfl.org .

Dear, Judy and family,
Your loss cannot in any way befully understood by anyone outside of your family circle. Courageously, you have all been at Marguerite's side cheering her own as she valiantly fought her battle against cancer! She may have lost her battle to cancer, but what she left behind to each of you her loved ones, goes far beyond the gates of ddeath. Her faith, her undaunting courage, her will to hold onto life as long as she could for your sake...these are but a few of the gifts she left for you to hold on to until you all meet again in the House of our Heavenly Father! She suffers no more...she is in His Presence as she smiles and watches over each of you. My prayers go up for each of you as you mourn the loss of one so dear. May she rest in Peace!
Lovingly,
Rita Joyce

The LORD has set his throne in heaven and his kingdom rules over everything.(Psalm 103:19). Marguerite, knows that the life that we possess now is the life to come, not the life on this earth. She is resting in the LORD, not more tears, not more sorrows, not more suffering. Aleluya!

Marguerite was one of my mentors, as is her loving Husband, John. My wish was to come see her again in October with my wife to be but God couldn't wait to bring her to His side.
