ALFRED JOHN "JIM" KAISER
Alfred John ("Jim") Kaiser, a resident of Sterling House, Cape Coral, passed away on Thursday, June 13, at 88 years of age. He lived in Florida for the past five years, moving from Topeka, Kansas, in 2008.
Jim was born in Fort Recovery, Ohio, the son of Oliver Kaiser and Caroline Guggenbiller Kaiser. Jim joined the Navy in 1943. He was commissioned an ensign and was honorably discharged in 1946. Jim received two bachelor's degrees (naval science and mechanical engineering) from the University of Notre Dame
He married Margaret Sullivan in 1946. Jim worked for Kendall Corporation and rose to become Corporate Manager of Distribution Facilities and Planning. He retired in Boston in 1988.
Jim was active in the Catholic Church. His hobbies included needlepoint, computing, puzzles and word games. He was an avid reader of fiction and enjoyed traveling.
Jim is survived by his sister, Ann, of Coldwater, Ohio. His surviving children are; Suellen Kaiser (David) Sim of Cape Coral, James (Pam) Kaiser of Richfield, Ohio, and Daniel (Fran) Kaiser of Chicago. He has six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
Jim was predeceased by three of his four siblings; Ruth, Kenneth, and Faye. His beloved wife, Margaret, died in 2008. He was also predeceased by a son, Alfred John Kaiser, Jr.
Interment will be in Topeka, Kansas. A memorial service will be held at Kevin Brennan Funeral Home in Topeka, Kansas, at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 29th.
