Claude W. Hamlet, Jr. passed away March 14, 2013 following a short illness.

He was predeceased in death by his parents. Claude and Beatrice Hamlet. He is survived by his wife and best friend Margie Keene Hamlet and cousin, Janice Webb (Joe) of West Palm Beach.

Claude graduated from Fort Myers High School. He enlisted in the United States Army and was stationed with his unit The Big Red I, Germany and Korea where he served five years before his discharge.

He came home and went into business with his father in the commercial printing Co., one of the oldest in Fort Myers. They sold the business in 1985. After a short period of time he went to work part-time with Super America and Shell Oil Co., retiring after 10 years.

He enjoyed fishing, bowling, golfing and gardening. His two Yorkies, Jason and Milo went with him everywhere. At his request, there will not be a funeral and internment will be private.

It was also requested that all his friends and family enjoy each day of their life to the fullest. Also, be very thankful for living in the greatest country in the world. Thank God every day. He felt very honored to be able to serve his country and be a part of the American Legion Post 38 for more than 50 years as well as the 40/8 group for 45 plus years.
