Marian Bernice Oleson
July 30, 1936 - February 12, 2014
Marian Oleson passed away peacefully on February 12, 2014 at Hope Hospice, surrounded by her loving husband & children. Marian was born in Minneapolis, MN to Martin and Emma. In 1958 she graduated from the University of Minnesota
with a degree in Occupational Therapy and married Arland Oleson. After raising their children she received her Masters in Special Education from Minnesota State University - Moorhead. She returned to work in 1973 for the Clay County Assoc. for Retarded Citizens and was director of Friendship Village in Fargo, ND from 1982 to 1992. She was later employed by the State of North Dakota as a case manager and advocate for children and adults with developmental disabilities. In retirement, Marian & Arland spent time in Wisconsin & Ft. Myers. She enjoyed gardening, traveling, quilting, cross stitching and volunteered at "Ding" Darling on Sanibel.? She is survived by her husband of 55 years Arland, son Paul (Patricia), daughter Karen Aulino, daughter Erika (Joel) Steen, son Neal, and her grandchildren Nicholas, Aaron, Anna, Christina, Joseph, Markus, and Luther and also by her sisters Esther and Anna.
