Services for Muriel Klene, 90, a resident of Sarasota, Florida will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 23, 2013 at St. Cecilia's Catholic Church, 5632 Sunrise Drive, Fort Myers, Florida. Spreading of her ashes will also be at St. Cecilia's immediately following the services.

Mrs. Klene passed away Thursday, February 14, 2013 at Heartland Health and Rehabilitation Center, in Sarasota, FL. Muriel Klene was born August 19, 1922 in Union City, NJ the daughter of Charles and Agnes Speich. She was united in marriage to Kenneth W. Klene on December 22, 1945. He preceded her in death January 15, 2003. They were married for 56 wonderful years.

Muriel went to Emerson High School in Union City and after High School was employed as a secretary until she married. After staying at home to raise their children and in Bedford, New Hampshire, they later moved to Fort Myers, Fl to own and manage the Hearing Aid Center of Fort Myers in the Edison Mall.

She is survived by her children and spouses; Roger (Eleta) Klene, Manchester, NH, Diane (Gerry) Foley, Haverhill, Mass, Ruth (John) Mango, Litchfield, NH, Brian (Betsy) Klene,Vienna, Austria, Karen (Chris) Landry, Sarasota, FL, 14 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Charles W. Klene.

In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to a local Alzheimer's foundation.
