Phyllis Stump Bright, 88, passed away on Monday, February 10, 2013 in Bonita Springs, FL. She was born in Oskaloosa, Iowa and retired to Florida in 1980.

While in Iowa, Phyllis married Warren E. Bright. She worked at Staffords Insurance Agency for nineteen years. She was active in PTA as District Director, PTA City Council President, and Oskaloosa School Board. A member of St. James Episcopal Church, she was the first woman to serve on vestry.

Phyllis and her husband retired to Bonita Springs in 1980. She worked nine years at Bonita Bay. She was an active member of St. Mary's Episcopal Church, Imperial Harbor Club, Beta Sigma Phi, American Legion, Lions Club, and MOAA.

Phyllis was preceded in death by her husband, Warren E. Bright and her sister, Mary Williams.

She is survived by two children, George D. Bright and wife Diane of Kissimmee, FL and Cynthia Shirley of Grayson, GA; five grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at St. Mary's Episcopal Church in Bonita Springs on Monday, February 25, at 10:00 AM, with a reception to follow in Fellowship Hall. Interment will be at Forest Cemetery in Oskaloosa, Iowa at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations to would be appreciated.
