Robert George "Mr. Mac" McGlothlin, 83, of Fort Myers, FL died on February 19, 2013 at Hope Hospice. He was born on July 24, 1929 in Rainelle, WV, the youngest of 5 children of Roma and Mary (O'Dell) McGlothlin.

Bob worked as a fireman (locomotive) on the B&O Railroad, then joined the Navy to learn a trade and became a pipefitter/steamfitter in the early 1950's. Upon leaving the Navy, he became a Plumbing contractor in Suffolk and Nassau counties on Long Island, NY with his business partner in the late 1960's.

He moved his family to Fort Myers in August of 1970 and opened McGlo Plumbing, Inc. in 1971, a business still owned and operated by his family.

Bob will always be remembered for his giving nature and as a kind and gentle man, generous and Godly. He served as an elder at Broadway Community Church. He loved his church family deeply and they loved him. Bob gave God all the glory for his life and everything in it. As a family, we come together and praise God for him and celebrate his eternal life with Jesus Christ.

Husband of the late Jean (Ashdown), his wife of 55 years, he leaves behind his four children, Robert D. McGlothlin, Joanne (Russ) Ladwig, William R. (Wendy) McGlothlin and Patricia J. Zanone, 9 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, 1 great great granddaughter and his sister, Doris Stewart of PA.

A celebration of his life will be held on Saturday, February 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM in Broadway Community Church, 3309 Broadway, Fort Myers, FL 33901.
