Robert William "Bob" Forster, Sr., 84, formerly of North Fort Myers, FL, died Monday, June 3, 2013 in Green Bay, WI.

Mr. Forster served for 26 years in the U.S. Navy, working as an Air Controlman. In 1978, he retired from the Navy as a Chief Petty Officer. After retirement from the Navy, Bob and Marjie built a home in Wisconsin Rapids. While living there, he worked at Port Edwards Paper Mill in Nekoosa. In 1992, Bob retired from the paper mill and moved with Marjie to a home they built in North Fort Myers, FL. They resided there until March, 2013.

Bob enjoyed diving and swimming, golfing, and bowling when he wasn't working outside in the yard and garden. He was a longtime member of Bethany Lutheran Church in North Fort Myers, during which time he helped with the formation and building of their preschool.

Bob is survived by his wife of 62 years, Marjorie Helen (Kroening) Forster; two daughters and sons-in-law, Sandra Lee and Herman Fiess, Donna Jean "Rocky" and Michael Calawerts; a son, Robert William "Bill" Forster, Jr. and his loving companion, Ruth Walkowiak; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
