Ruby Daven Kohn Williams died in Fort Myers on March 25, 2013 at the age of 97 . Born June 8, 1915, she was preceded in death by her husbands, Max Kohn and Herman D. Williams. In her youth, she was a singer but gave up her career to devote herself to her family. She loved to travel, knit beautiful sweaters and was passionate about her poker. She moved from Boston to Miami Beach and then found a wonderful home and family at Cypress Cove in Fort Myers.

She is survived by her daughters, Janice Danzig (Michael), Lisa Ney (Pierre); grandchildren Melissa Scott (Mitch), Daisy Shlakman, Mayer Danzig, Aaron Danzig (Deborah); great grandchildren Dylan Scott, Ashley Danzig, Aiden Danzig, Tallisen Scott; nieces Elaine Marlin (David), Lorraine Burac (Ernie); nephews Mel Kohn, Joel Daven (Jennifer); family friend Joanne Sonnenberg and many other wonderful friends.

She will be buried in West Roxbury, Massachusetts and the family will celebrate her life at Temple Beth El, 7:30 PM on Friday, April 12, 2013. Donations in her memory may be made to Temple Beth El 16225 Winkler Road, Fort Myers, FL 33908 or to The Lodge at Cypress Cove in memory of Ruby Williams, 10500 Cypress Cove Drive, Fort Myers, FL 33908.
