Kenneth G. Fisher, Sr., 84, of Tampa, FL and formerly Fort Myers, FL, passed away on Thursday, April 4th, 2013. Ken was born July 26, 1928 to Francis and Blanche (Gartin) Fisher in St. Joseph, Missouri. He moved with his family to Florida during his youth.

Ken graduated from Jesuit High School (Tampa) in 1946, earning academic, athletic and community recognition. He graduated from the University of Florida in 1950 with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration.

Ken served in the Navy during the Korean War on the USS Basilone and then held the post of Naval Exchange Officer, Key West Naval Station.

Ken's career spanned sales positions at Burroughs Corporation, partnership at Taylor, Edenfield, Gilliam and Wiltshire, and independent CPA practice in Fort Myers.

Ken loved to spend time with his family and friends. He enjoyed fishing, boating and scuba diving. He was actively involved in Kiwanis and held leadership positions for the Lee County Mental Health Center, St. Francis Xavier Catholic School and Bishop Verot High School.

Ken was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Dennis Fisher.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy; daughter, Kathy (Fisher) Fawcett; sons, Ken Fisher, Jr. and Casey Fisher; daughters-in-law, Julie (Dean) Fisher and Sarah (Kronsnoble) Fisher; grandchildren, Stephanie and Charlie Fisher, Nathan and Adam Fisher, and Meagan Fawcett; and sisters Marjorie Fisher and Rosemary Fisher.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2013, at 3:00 p.m. at the Blount & Curry Carrollwood Funeral Home in Tampa. The family will receive visitors one hour prior to the service.
