DECEMBER 5, 2012
Larry Borror's family celebrates his life from February 8, 1935 until December 5, 2012, a grandson's birthday and significant coincidence given the way his seven grandchildren adored him.
Larry was born in Columbus, Ohio, where he spent his childhood, family life, and professional career. Long involved in the brick industry, Larry retired as president of the Columbus Coal and Lime Company after more than thirty years. He also served as president of the Columbus Builders Exchange and was active with the Columbus Rotary Club. Larry was a lifelong fisherman in both Ohio and Florida and an avid reader of history and historical fiction. He enjoyed his volunteer roles at the Cypress Lake Methodist Church, the occasional round of golf, and always the Ohio State Buckeyes.
Larry is survived by his beloved wife Evelyn (Maxwell) of 58 years; his daughter Shelley Borror Jackson and her husband Rob of Deerfield, MA; son Lyndon Borror of Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren Frederick Jackson, Mac Jackson, Caddie Jackson, John Jackson, Katie Borror, Max Borror, Lily Borror, and great-grandchildren, Bear Donovan and Avery Jackson.
A memorial service will be held Tues., at 3:00 at Cypress Lake Methodist Church, with a calling hour at 2:00. An additional service will be scheduled this summer in OH. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be sent to the "Growing to Serve" campaign of the Cypress Lake Methodist Church.
