Malih Sadighi passed away suddenly November 15 in Portland, Oregan. Malih spent most of her life in Orangeburg, South Carolina were she was a French professor teaching for South Carolina State University for over 20 years. She and her husband moved to Fort Myers, Florida 12 years ago to be closer to their family. Malih and her husband cherished family time not only with their immediate family but their love for their entire extended family was felt by all. Their house was always open for friends and family.
Malih was preceded in death by her beloved husband Siamek Sadighi. Survivors include two sons: Dr.Abraham Sadighi (Tammy) and Mahmoud (Sheila) Sadighi. Sisters Zoreh (Ferydoon) Rabizadeh,and Mariam (Afghar) Hanjani. One brother Dr.Firouz (Nasrin) Farahmand along with many nieces and nephews. Her beloved grandchildren include Brandon, Garrett, Cameron and Tyler Sadighi. Her funeral Mass will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Memorial Gardens on Colonial Boulevard with burial to follow.
It was Malih's desire that expressions of sympathy be made to Susan B. Komen of Southwest Florida in her honor as a breast cancer survivor for 40 years. http://www.komenswfl.org
