Robert B. Maggiano Age 60 passed away unexpectly but peacefully on April 6, 2015. He is survived by his wife Lindy of 21 years; children: Corey Maggiano, Jonathan Maggiano, Amy Miller, 4 grandchildren, and his beloved extended family near his birthplace in Youngstown, Ohio. Robert was a Doctor of Osteopathy and Surgery; practicing Family Medicine in Fort Myers, FL. for over 25 years. A Visitation will begin at 6:00 pm on April 10, 2015 followed by a Memorial Service at 7:30pm then afterward a time of refreshments and fellowship at The Hodges-Kiser Funeral Home. 9231 Cypress Lake Drive in Fort Myers. Still miss Dr Maggiano he was my doctor from 1993-till he passed . He was a great doctor and I have not been able to find another primary care since his passing . He knew everything about my medical history and was always very caring. I still can´t believe he is gone .

Dr Magg as we called him was the best Dr in Fort Myers. My Mom and I had been going to see him for many, many years before he suddenly passed. We still miss him to this day and my Mother is now 99 years old and still speaks fondly of him.

I recently heard about the passing of Dr. Maggiano and was deeply saddened. I echo the sentiments that doctors like him are far and few in between. He would just seem to know exactly what to do about a particular condition. He was outgoing and always had the time to listen to all you had to say. He will be truly missed. I pray that GOD will give the peace that passes all understanding to his family.

Doc had taken care of us for many years, from Winkler Road to Whiskey Creek. After being up north for a couple years we returned only to find his office is ow a PT facility. Went on line only to find this site. We are truly devastated. He was more than a Dr and the best diagnostician, he was a friend. He sincerely cared about his patients.he was so happy to tell stories about the pictures and memorabilia in his office and his basketball days. He will be truly missed.There aren't Doctors like him around anymore. Deepest condolences to Lindy and family.

I have been numb all day reading this guest book. The testimonials prove what a great person he was. I ditto all the kind remarks. Lee County is at great loss. He saved the life of a dear friend of mine. I have been a faithful patient since 1998 when I moved to Florida. Lindy, I hope you get the message I left on the answer machine at the office. Although we only did learn of his passing in May, I have just discovered this site and wanted to write. Dr. was our primary care for only about 3 years and we liked him so very much. He was beyond caring and kind and of course listened to everything you wanted to say. I feel like I knew him well after many great conversations learning of his fascinating life and many talents beyond "doctoring". We were shocked and deeply sadened by his passing and want to send his family our sincere condolences on their great loss of this great man.

I found out yesterday, and words cannot express my sadness and grief. He was a 1 in a million Doctor and I know, I have had many. A dear friend and compassionate and attentive, in almost 20 yrs. as his Patient I never ever felt rushed he always listened and truly cared. Dr Magg as we called him was the BEST Doctor in the world. I was just at his office two weeks ago and he was doing so much better. I've been trying to bring him and his Staff their "Easter" candy but to no avail. Called today, what a shock to say the least. We ALL loved you Dr Magg and will never forget you. Needless to say I was shocked today when I called for appointment with my most favorite doctor. there was nothing you couldn't talk to him about. he helped me thru a rough marriage and was there for me when I divorced. Our family is heartbroken after hearing about Dr. Magg today. He was my husband's doctor for 25 years and my doctor for 11 years. Never have we ever met a doctor with so much compassion for his patients. Dr. Magg always had a smile on his face and a joke to share...I can hear his laugh right now. Rob has been my primary Dr. Ever since he started his practice in Fort Myers, and he was a friend of my Ex-husbands family way before that in the Warren, Youngstown area. A life cut way to short!
