Wilba Mae Andrews passed away on June 30, 2012. She was born in Sumner, FL on November 18, 1914 to Arthur and Electra Mershon Hoover. The family moved to Miami, Florida, later moved to Key Largo where they grew Key limes and had a packing house in Rock Harbour. A fire destroyed everything and they moved back to Miami. Wilba moved to Lake Placid, FL after the death of her husband, Glenn, and later moved to Marathon, FL to be near her daughter. She had many friends and was loved by all who met her. We enjoyed hearing the stories of her life and were fascinated by them. She is survived by her daughter Jean Robinson and husband Bill, sister Grace McCleskey, granddaughter Dawn Robinson Finney and husband Kevin, grandsons Glenn Fichter and wife Stacy, Grant Fichter and wife Amy, great-granddaughters Amber Finney and Ally Fichter, great-grandson Landon Beer. She is preceded in death by her daughter Glenda Fichter. A celebration of her life will be held in the open on the banks of the Caloosahatchee River in Alva, Florida at 11:00 AM on July 21 followed by refreshments and fellowship.
Please contact Grant Fichter at 239-872-2625 for details on the Memorial Service
