Mary Alexander, 80, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend passed away on September 23. Mary was born in Panola, AL. She grew up in Columbus, MS, where she served in the Civil Air Patrol during the Korean War.

She enjoyed an adventurous life with her husband: flying their planes to Seattle, Canada, and Mexico; sailing on extended trips to the Bahamas and Caribbean; taking a cruise ship to Antarctica; cruising on their trawler to the Bahamas, the Tennessee and Mississippi Rivers; touring the United States in their RV and Harley with their most recent memorable stops in Sturgis, the Black Hills, and the Rocky Mountains in Colorado.
Mary is survived by her husband of 56 years Waite Alexander, her son Mike Alexander, her daughter Terry Alexander, her stepdaughter Jo Reynolds, her grandson Chris Alexander, her granddaughters Amy Bishop and Lindsay Reynolds and her sister Catherine Burgin.
Friends are invited to join the family in a memorial celebration at Picnic Point in The Landings in Fort Myers on Sunday, September 26, from 2-4 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Edison Sailing Center or
in Memphis, TN.
