Francis J. Weisbeski, 87, of Fort Myers, FL died on March 17, 2014 at Hope Hospice of natural causes. He was born on May 8, 1926 in Dillonvale, OH, the youngest of three children of Peter and Anna Weisbeski.

A Fort Myers resident for the past 10 years, he spent the majority of his life in the Detroit, MI area. He served in the Army and played in the First Army band in the Pacific and was part of the first occupation of Japan after the bomb was dropped.

He graduated summa cume laude in1952 from Kent State with an accounting degree, was a musician who played with numerous bands and orchestras, was employed for over 30 years with SEARS as a manager and a member of Blessed Pope John XXIII Church, Fort Myers.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Millie, his children, Charmaine Ruddock, Deborah W. Sims, MD and James Weisbeski and his grandson, Benjamin Sims. In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Irene and Regina.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Friday, March 21, 2014 at 11:00 AM in Blessed Pope John XXIII Church, 13060 Palomino Lane, Fort Myers where friends may call after 10:00 AM. Military honors will follow the Mass.
