Richard Jendrysik, 72, of North Fort Myers, FL died on March 16, 2014 in Fort Myers. Rick was born on August 19, 1941 in Chicago, IL but moved to Hot Springs, AK at a young age. Rick attended the University of Arkansas in Fayetteville, where he was a member of Alpha Zeta Chapter of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity (PIKES), after graduation he attended Navy Officer Candidate School, upon completion he was commissioned as an Ensign, serving four and a half years, one year being combat duty with the Navy Rivron Five, Riverine Unit in the Mekong Delta. Rick was the recipient of 2 Bronze Stars while serving in Vietnam and separated from the Navy at the rank of LT. He was a self-employed computer programmer and systems analyst. He and his wife were avid sailors and mountain bikers, a member of the Mudcutter's Bike Club. He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Lita (Allen) Jendrysik, his sister, Alice Kordoban, also several nieces, nephews and friends. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
