Frank R. Perciasepe

Frank Ralph Perciasepe, 88, passed away May 1, 2014. He was born October 1, 1925 in Larchmont, New York to the late Peter Sr. and Nicolette Perciasepe.
Frank served in the United States Navy during WWII. While in the Philippines, his ship was sunk by a kamikaze plane that crashed into it. He was rescued and transported to Chelsea Naval Base in Massachusetts for 6 months of recovery.
After his military service, he returned to Larchmont and became a restauranteur opening Birdie's Restaurant in 1952. In 1960, Frank married the love of his life, Anna Cerbone. In 1978, they relocated to Fort Myers, Florida and established Birdie's Pizza. He sold it in 1992 and retired. Birdie's is still operating today.
Left to cherish his memory are his wife of 54 years, Anna; son, Peter of Stamford, Connecticut; and one brother, Peter Perciasepe, Jr. of Larchmont, New York.
Visitation will be Monday, May 5th, 2014 from 5:30 to 8:00 PM at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday at 10:00 AM at Church of the Resurrection in Fort Myers. Interment and Navy Honors will follow in Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Cemetery in the Field of Honor.
