William "Bill" A. Battistini

William A. Battistini 79, of Cape Coral, FL and formerly of Warwick, R.I. passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2014. Bill was the loving husband for 54 years to Mary Lou (Rosenbeck) Battistini. Born in Providence, R.I., June 5, 1935 a son of Consiglia & Frank Battistini. Bill has been a resident of Cape Coral for 14 years. Prior to moving to FL Bill was President of NIF Services of R.I., a Surplus Lines Insurance Agency. Bill was a graduate of Hartford Public High School in Hartford, CT and attended The University of CT. He spent many years as a CPCU in the Insurance industry. Bill was also a proud Veteran of The United States Air Force. He was a member of St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church, he was the Building Manager of the Cape Coral Sail & Power Boat Club, a member of the Merry Mariners Boat Club, a member of the Elks Club #2596, and a Volunteer Police Marine Unit, patrolling the water ways in Cape Coral, and Eagles Aerie 3957.

Along with his wife Mary Lou, Bill is survived by his sister Ida Ducey & her husband Harold of West Hartford, Sister-in-Law Carroll Rosenbeck & Richard Gaskill of Vernon, CT; Brother-in-Law John Rosenbeck and wife Bonnie of Cape Coral, FL; Brother-in-Law Richard Rosenbeck and his wife Marianne of Columbia, S.C., he leaves five nieces, Kippy Spinelli, Holly Jensen, Donna Bole, Andrea Sweeney, Stephanie Albernethy, one nephew Paul Ducey, He leaves one uncle Angelo Torromeo & several grandnieces, grandnephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by a second nephew Richard Rosenbeck of Atlanta, GA.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated 10:00 AM Saturday June 21, 2014 at St. Katherine Drexel Catholic Church in Cape Coral. The family will receive friends for viewing Friday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at Fuller Metz Funeral Home.
