Leota M. (Odie) Gall, 98 of Cape Coral died Sunday, July 27, 2014. She was born in Adair, Iowa on September 9, 1915 and moved to Cape Coral in 1966 from Ft. Monroe, VA after Jim's retirement from the Army. Odie married her late husband Colonel James B. Gall in 1934 in Hillsboro, OH. They were married for 58 years. She was a committed military wife traveling around the world to Germany and other stateside military posts. In her earlier years she loved to play golf, sew, cook, entertain, and her passion was to care for her family. Following her husband's passing she decided to relocate to Cypress Cove in Ft. Myers. Odie was known to many for her keen sense of humor and for her kind and caring ways.

Survivors include her son Col. Robert (Maureen) Gall of Atlantic Beach, FL; daughters Mary Jack of Cape Coral, FL, and Jean (Sean) Hardegree of Alva, FL; 5 grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren.

A committal service will be conducted Friday, August 1, 2014, 1:00 pm at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, FL where she will be laid to rest with her beloved late husband Colonel James B.
