Rosemary Eileen Pummell

Rosemary Eileen Pummell of Rabun Gap, Georgia and formerly of Fort Myers, Florida passed away on Saturday, August 23, 2014 following a recent illness. She was 94 years old.
Rosemary was born on March 15, 1920 in Logan County, Ohio, the beautiful daughter of Agnes Gertrude (McCreary) and Perry Franklin Chambers. She was married for over 65 years to the love of her life Donald H. Pummell and together they raised eight wonderful children. She was also a longtime manufacturing supervisor for Westinghouse Electric.
She leaves behind to cherish her loving memory her children Charlene Detrick (Wayne), Donald Pummell (Carolyn); Pauline "Polly" Endsley; Sharon Thornhill; Richard Pummell (Mary); Phillip Pummell (Anne) and daughter-in-law Charlene Pummell. Rosemary was also blessed to be the grandmother of 25 wonderful grandchildren and 35 great-grandchildren who she also leaves behind. Sadly, she was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her sons James Joseph Pummell and Jack Lee Pummell; her siblings Doyle Chambers and Carl Franklin Chambers and sons-in-law John Thornhill and Edward Endsley.
A visitation for Rosemary will be conducted from 11:00 AM till 1:00 PM on Thursday, August 28, 2014 in the Chapel at Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Boulevard, Fort Myers, Florida 33907, (239) 936-0555. A Memorial Service will be celebrated at 1:00 PM by her gransdson Pastor Donnie Detrick. At the conclusion of services Rosemary will be laid to rest next to her husband in the Serenity Garden Mausoleum.
