Glenn Bartling Obituary


Obituary

Glenn Bartling died Friday at age 82. Born November 27, 1926 in Taylorville, IL, he served in the U.S. Army.

He is survived by his widow, Gladys Bartling, sons Robert (Tina) and Andrew (Mary) Bartling of St. Louis, daughter-in-law Tiny Bartosh of Brunswick, GA, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Son Richard Bartling preceded him in death.

Glenn retired in 1981 from the Postal Service and moved to Fort Myers Beach.

He became a Master Mason in Granite City, IL. He later joined the Scottish Rite. He served the Araba Shriners as a Personal Aide and Captain of the Guard. Glenn was Oriental Band Director Emeritus since 2004. He was a member of the American Legion and Araba Legion of Honor.

Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be sent to the Araba Transportation Fund, c/o Araba Temple, 2010 Hanson St., Fort Myers, FL 33901.
