Joseph E. Baker, 81, died Friday, November 26, 2010 at Lee Memorial Hospital, Ft. Myers, FL. Born August 20, 1929 in Angola, NY, he lived in East Brunswick, NJ for over 35 years before moving to Cape Coral, FL in 1992. Before retiring in 1991 he worked for Public Service Electric & Gas, New Brunswick, NJ for 36 years. He served in the Army Air Corps., stationed in Okinawa, Japan. He was a member and Elder of Christ Memorial Lutheran Church, East Brunswick, NJ and Trinity Lutheran Church, Cape Coral, FL. Surviving are his wife Esther Baker; three sons, Joseph Baker of Hernando, FL, Roger Baker of Clifton, NJ, and Robert Haug of Princeton, NJ; one daughter, Doris Haug Ogden of Shelburne, VT; one brother, Rev. Otto Baker of Brodheadsville, PA; one sister, Mary Lou Cheney of Angola, NY; and several grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 1:00 p.m. Friday at the Quackenboss Funeral Home, 156 Livingston Ave., New Brunswick, NJ. Entombment will follow at Franklin Memorial Park, North Brunswick, NJ.
