CECIL WALDRON Obituary

Cecil A. Waldron, born in Fort Myers, FL in 1925 to Charles and Louise Waldron was called home to the Lord on December 5, 2010 at his residence in N. Ft. Myers, FL.
Cecil graduated from Fort Myers High School (Class of 1943). He received his B.S. Degree from Florida Southern College and his Masters from Florida State University. He spent his career in the classroom and as an administrator in the Lee County School System, along with a stint at Edison Community College. A day spent without learning something was a day wasted to Cecil. Mr. Waldron was preceded in death by his parents, brother Bob and sister Celeste.
Cecil enjoyed bowling, golfing, fishing and flying(which he learned in the Navy). He also enjoyed observing nature, traveling in his motor home and spending time with his family.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife of 64 years, Mary Rinkel Waldron: his son, George Ed Waldron; his daughters, Pat (Mike) Sempsrott, Becky (Pete) Frazee and Esther Waldron; Grandchildren, Kate (Charles) Sempsrott Summerall, Andrew Sempsrott, Sean Frazee and Ben Frazee; A brother, Edmund Waldron.
A Celebration of his life will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at 3:00 PM at The First Presbyterian Church, 2438 Second Street, Fort Myers. Visitation will be held Thursday from 2:00-3:00 PM at the church. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.fortmyersmemorial.com. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given in Cecil's memory to the First Presbyterian Church. Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home is assisting the family.

Dearest Pati,
I'll always remember your father being so delighted with our Baked Alaska. He and your incredible mother made me feel like part of the family when we were kids. The day you and Mike walked down the aisle to be married he was the proudest father in the world. He loved you so much.
I know how much you loved him, too. I pray your good memories will bring you comfort in the years to come.
All my love to you, dear friend.

I knew Mr. Waldron only briefly...he was witty, always said hello and offered a smile whenever we passed at Central Services - he made my days a little brighter!
