Helen Marie Knotts (nee' Luckhaupt), 93, passed away Tuesday, October 30, 2012 at her home in N. Ft. Myers, FL surrounded by family. Born March 21, 1919 in Columbus, OH, Helen was the eldest of 6 children of Lawrence and Marie Wanner Luckhaupt. In 1940, Helen married Ralph, they raised 5 children and resided in Columbus and Toledo for most of those years. In 1974, following in her daughter Joanne's footsteps, attended Owens Technical College, graduating 2 years later with her Associates Degree in Nursing. After her beloved husband died in 1978, Helen began travelling between OH and Ft. Myers seasonally before settling in Ft. Myers in 2001.

She was deeply loved and cherished by her family Ralph David (Madonna); William C. (Julie); Virginia Hoynoski (Glenn); Joanne M. Bartow (Greg); Mary Elizabeth Goldman (William); 2 sisters Mary Margaret Monnett of OH and Jean Marhefka of FL; brother Larry Luckhaupt (Alice) of OR; 10 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her dear sister Agnes Lieb, and brother Robert Luckhaupt.

A funeral mass will be held at 10am on Monday, November 5th at St. Therese Catholic Church in N. Ft. Myers, with an internment service held at Joseph's Cemetery in Columbus, OH in the near future.
