Philip E. O'Donnell of Cape Coral passed away peacefully in Hope Hospice November 1, 2012, after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. Phil was born in Mattoon, IL, March 4, 1936, son of Cornelius Edmond O'Donnell and Mary Rose Linkonis. He was a graduate of the Mechanical Engineering School at University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana, a veteran of the United States Air Force, and a graduate of Tilden Tech class of 54 in Chicago.
He is survived by his wife Shirley, two children, son John (Kelly) daughter Colleen (Chris), two stepchildren Tracy Lopus and Bradleigh Simpson and 6 grandchildren, one brother Tom (Hedy), and sister in law Nancy as well as many cousins, nieces and nephews.
He was honored with a Color Guard Ceremony at Hope Hospice which was very moving and much appreciated by his family, we thank you !
