Mary Jane was born in Whitley County, Indiana on Sept. 20, 1920, a daughter of Earl and Ella (Mossman) Pettigrew. She graduated from Columbia City High School, 1939 and married Dec. 25, 1942 to Garland Jackson. They served together during WWII in Little Rock, AR, and Tyler, TX. In 1954 they moved to Anaheim, CA. MaryJane worked in the office of Moore Business Forms, Fullerton CA for 30 years. MaryJane married Air Force Colonel, Bob Phillips in 1980, he deceased in 1986. MaryJane retired in 1986 and moved to Ft. Myers FL, where she resided the rest of her life.

MaryJane is survived by two children, Cynthy Gravitt, and son-in-law Mike Wilcox, PA. Jeffrey Jackson and daughter-in-law Kim, North Fort Myers, FL. Sister Marie Geiger, Columbia City, IN, Brother Jack Pettigrew, Auburn, IN. Grandchildren: Todd Gravitt, Chad Gravitt, Sean Jackson, Shiloe Jackson, CA, Brian Jackson and Brandon Jackson, Fort Myers, FL, Bobby Brandon and Monica. Fort Myers, FL and eleven great-grandchildren. She was proceeded in death by four brothers, Phillip, Howard, Carl, and Paul Pettigrew, and sister Virginia Leisz son Mark Jackson, deceased 7/8/2009. MaryJane was an active member of Messiah Lutheran Church, Cape Coral, FL. Member of prayer shawls, call-team, and past visiting shut-ins. Memorial and burial will take place at Messiah Lutheran Church, Cape Coral FL, July 13, at 11:00 am.
