JAMES MICHAEL WHITESIDE

James (Jimbo) Michael Whiteside of Cape Coral passed away , surrounded by his family in the comfort of his home on Wednesday, January 22, 2014. Born August 3, 1961 in Shenectady, NY.

In his youth Jim lived in California before moving to the Ft Myers area. Jim proudly served his country as in the United States Marine Corp. After the Marines, Jim entered the Hospitality Business, where he mastered all facets of the Fine Dining Industry. Later he joined his family in Real Estate and his love of the water led him to obtain his Captain's License.

Jim had such a love of life, he was tremendously devoted to his family, they were his world. His happiness was complete when he met the love of his life, his fiance Robbin.

Jimbo could rarely be seen without a smile on his face, a twinkle in his eye and kindness in his heart. His smile was infectious.

Jim loved fishing, boating, hunting, camping anything related to the outdoors. And his guilty pleasure, hail to the Redskins.

Father John(Joyce) Whiteside; Sister Tammy (Ron) Zul; Brothers John (Veronica) Whiteside; Bill (Jan) Whiteside. Aunt and Uncles Sheri and Mike Lodge, Howard Lamoureux. Adopted sisters Patty Miller; Trish Armstrong; Kathy Coogan. Former wife Denise Whiteside . In Laws, Kristi Lewis; Denise Murphy and Tom Dean; Lisa and Gary Baughman, Dianne and Sam Valenti. Howie and Lynne Post, Kenny and Pat Sutton, Karen Sutton and Phyllis Giordano. Step Sister Diana Strange; step brother Alan Hill. Jim had many Nieces and Nephews, Great Nieces and Nephews and too many special friends to name.

Jimmy was a Great Man and will be missed by all who knew him.

Proceeded in death by Grandparents Marceline and Stanley Lodge; Gertrude and Joseph Whiteside, Mother Camilla (Camie) Harris, Aunt Cynthia Lamoureux, Stepfather Bill Harris & Niece Kayla James.

A visitation will be held Tuesday January 28, 2014 from 6-8 PM at Coral ridge Funeral Home in Cape Coral. The funeral Service will be held on Wednesday January 29, 2014 at 1PM with burial to follow.
