Samuel E. Poole, 87, a pioneer of Ft. Myers, passed away peacefully March 13, 2014 in Ft. Myers. He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Virginia I. Poole, his daughter Kathleen P. Brocious, 2 sons, Samuel E. Poole Jr. and David C. Poole, 8 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren, ALL who loved him very much!
Samuel served his country in the US Navy and retired from Independent Life Ins. Co. after 43 years. Samuel's favorite scripture verse was Jeremiah 33:3.
Service arrangements are at Crossroads Baptist Church on Palm Beach Blvd on Saturday, March 15. Visitation is from 10-11 am. Funeral is at 11 am followed by a private graveside service.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Crossroads Baptist Church Building or Benevolence Fund.

Praying for God's comfort and peace. One of my favorite memories of Mr. Sam is after I referenced a Scripture passage during a solo at church, but couldn't remember where the words came from; Mr. Sam came to me after the service with chapter and verse. It's marked in my Bible, and I always think of Mr. Sam when I see it. God bless...
