Bobby and family, I just heard the news of your Dad's death and wanted to let you know how deeply sorry I am for your loss. What a great guy! I remember many fun times with Garland at your house and your Dad was always so funny and nice to all of us. He will surely be missed by all who knew him.

To Bobby and Family, Mr. Heald was a legend in this town, a true Gentleman. His wife Ann might have been the best Tennis player in the bunch, she ran the Junior C.V.I.T.T for years. To see Bud and Ann Heald as
all of Lynchburg was rooting for Bobby
Heald in all of those Senior C.V.I.T.T.'s, the Pride, is something I
will never forget! The Heald Basketball Court, with lights, in the back yard, long after Bobby left, but still there for Generations! Lynchburg
loved the Healds' and all they stood for, Bud and Ann Heald will be sorely
missed, and are now back together again. To Bobby Heald, my favorite Tennis Player of all time, I am sad for you. Sincerely, Brad Rainey

A finer man could not be found. Not only did I have the pleasure of working with him in a business capacity, but his generosity in letting us neighborhood boys play basketball well into our late 30's (and late into the night as well) was greatly appreciated. The city has lost a true icon.
