Lois Hazel Hammock Clemmons

Lois Hazel Hammock Clemmons, 94, of Rustburg, passed away Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at the Envoy Nursing home in Williamsburg. Born in Hurt on March 18, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Exzenia Myers Hammock and was the widow of Robert Nathaniel Clemmons Jr.

Mrs. Clemmons was a member of Fort Hill United Methodist Church.

She is survived by a daughter, Judith C. Meadows, and her husband, Dennie, of Williamsburg, five grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A celebration of Lois's life and faith will be held at 10 a.m. today, Sept. 21, 2010, at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel, Timberlake Road, with the Rev. Dan Mason officiating. Interment will follow in Spring Hill Cemetery.

this was my great grandmother i was born on her birthday my mom and dad told her that i was her presint that year she would sneek me out the house and tack me for ride and hold me tell i would fall asleep i love and miss her with all my heart

I remember Lois attending the Young in Heart group at Fort Hill UMC in the 1980s. She was a joy to be around!
I hold the family in my heart and prayers in the days to come. May God strengthen you for the journey.
