NED PAINTER Obituary



Ned Painter

Ned Lawson Painter, 84, of Tamp Fla. and formerly of Forest, passed away Thursday, Nov. 11, 2010, in Tampa, Fla. after an extended illness. He was the husband of Maripat Downey Painter of Tampa.

Born February 26, 1926 in Mansfield, Ohio, he was a son of the late Raymond and Vivian Painter. Ned was a retired apartment maintenance manager. He was a member of Sovereign Grace Baptist Church. Ned proudly served our country in the United States Army during World War II.

In addition to his wife, Maripat, he is survived by three daughters, Stephanie Parker and her husband Dean, Shelley Bronum and her husband David, Cyndee Scibel and her husband Robert, Patricia "Patty" Pearson; 8 grandchildren Erin Goodwin, Shawn Parker, Zachary and Nathaniel Bronum, Ronald, Gregory and Tiffany Baum and Robert Scible; one great-grandchild, Delaney Goodwin and four step-children and eight step great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held today, Nov. 18, 2010, at 2 p.m. at the mausoleum in Virginia Memorial Park with the Rev. Ron Rumberg officiating. Military honors will be provided by American Legion Post 16 of Lynchburg. A reception and visitation will be held at Diuguid Waterlick Chapel following the service at 3 p.m.
