Fannie Pannell Obituary

Fannie Bradley Pannell

Mrs. Fannie Bradley Pannell of Gladys died Friday, Dec. 31, 2010, in Lynchburg. She was born Sept. 20, 1916, in Campbell County to the late Mr. and Mrs. Richard Bradley. She was the wife of the late Henry S. Pannell.

She is survived by her children, Olethia Cook (Waddie), Constance Patrick (David), and Mary Alice Pannell, all of Gladys, Va., Ella Brown of Alexandria, Va., Henry Pannell of Atlanta, Ga., Earnestine Corbin (Bruce), of Alexandria, Va., Garnett Pannell (Patricia), and Clifton Pannell (Sarah), all of Fort Washington, Md..; twenty loving grandchildren to whom she passed her wisdom; thirteen great- grandchildren; her sisters, Carrie Berry, Catherine Drakeford, Inez Johnson, Anna Younger, Martha Fisher, and Mary Dillard all of Alexandria, Va.; a devoted friend and Godson, Ray Jones; a sister-in-law, Josephine Mays; a brother-in-law, Levester Berry Sr. and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

A special thank you is extended to the staff of Lynchburg General Hospital, Amanda, and other nurses.

Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, 2011, at Hills Creek Baptist Church in Gladys with interment in the church cemetery. Mrs. Pannell will lie in state at the church from 11 a.m. until the hour of the service.
