Mary Ogden Obituary
Mary Alice Pannell Ogden, 75, of Lovingston, died Monday Oct. 18, 2010, at her residence. Born in Afton on April 25, 1935, she was a daughter of the late Roy Alexander Pannell and Laverna Leola Cash Pannell.
Besides her parents, Mrs. Ogden was preceded in death by her husband, John Leo Ogden; a son, John Clifton Ogden; two brothers, Leroy Pannell and Carroll Pannell; and three sisters, Dot Thompson, Virginia Sligh and Ruth Ann Proffitt.
Mary Alice was a homemaker a member of Ridgecrest Baptist Church, 14654 Thomas Nelson Highway, Lovingston.
Survivors include her daughter, Sharon Young, and her husband, Donald, of Mechanicsville, Md.; two sisters, Louise "Bessie" White, of Colleen, and June Bradley, of Lovingston; three grandchildren, Chad Young, Brad Young and Wendy Young; and one great-grandson, Ryan.
A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Oct. 21, 2010, at Ridgecrest Baptist Church, with the Rev. David Christian officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8 p.m. today, Oct. 20, 2010, at the funeral home.

Sharon (and family),
Some of my fondest childhood memories include the Ogden reunions and listening to Uncle Leo and Uncle Bill play music. I remember specifically how Aunt Mary Alice would smile while watching Uncle Leo as he played and sang. May the love and support of those that surround you bring you much deserved peace in this difficult time.
