Christopher Elliott Obituary
Christopher Daniel "Dan" Elliott Sr., 69, of Evington, died Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at Virginia Baptist Hospital, ending his three-year battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. He was born in Campbell County on July 5, 1941, a son of the late Willie Ernest Elliot and Florence Helen Lindsey Elliott.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Pauline L. Elliott, his daughter, Pamela Sue Elliott, and a brother, Frank Elliott.
He is survived by his son, Christopher D. Elliott Jr.; a sister, Gracie Walker; and brothers, Elmo, Thomas, Robert, Albert, Phillip, Glenn and Raymond Elliott.
A funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 23, 2010, at Evington United Methodist Church, with the Rev. John Franklin officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 22, 2010, at Burch-Messier Funeral Home, Bedford, and all other times at the home of his son, Chris Elliott Jr.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Chris Elliott Jr., 170 June Way, Evington, VA 24550.
