Lawrence "Bozzy" Ford

Lawrence Daniel "Bozzy" Ford, 64, of Lynchburg, passed away Monday, Oct. 11, 2010, at his sister's residence.

Lawrence was born on May 23, 1946, in Lynchburg, a son of the late Louise Witt Ford and Lawrence Burton Ford. He was a U.S. Air Force veteran, having served during Vietnam Era. He retired as a painter from Jimmy Coleman.

Along with his parents, Lawrence is preceded in death by two sisters, Maurelia Ragland and Janice Banton.

Lawrence is survived by his son, Jessee Eugene Ford, of Lynchburg; his two sisters, Shirley Smith and her husband, Mike, and Jean Blankenship, all of Lynchburg; his two brothers, Kenneth Ford and his wife, Joyce, of Madison Heights, and Nicky Ford and his wife, Blanche, of Campbell County; his half-siblings, Derhonda Ford, Dennis Ford, Donald Ford and Teresa; and devoted friends, Patsy Hamilton and family, and Tommy Tyree and his friend, Pat; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be conducted at 6 p.m. Friday, Oct. 15, 2010, at Our Father's House, 131 Old Colony Road, Madison Heights, with the Rev. Shane Branham officiating.
