Not sure what to say?

My thoughts and prayers go out to Barret, his family and friends. Barret and I met our freshman year at Radford University and became great friends. He became my suitemate our sophomore year and we never stopped having a good time no matter what we were doing (whether it was eating at Dalton, playing Street Fighter, or hanging out at “late night”). Some of my greatest memories and achievements were with him and I will truly miss the times we shared as well as the recent times we didn't share. I know you are in a better place now and I know I will see you again one day. I will miss you my friend and I will always remember the great times we shared with our infamous "Radford dorm videos”. DAB also wanted to say that you are in his prayers and I know the rest of the Radford crew says the same as well. May God bless you and your family.
You’re Friend,
Kevin Conrad

Dear Elvis & Carolyn,

Having just buried a son last Fall, I understand a little about your pain at this time and am praying for God's grace to be sufficient. I am so sorry. It has been a long time. Sorry that it took such a tragedy to get back in touch.

Barret was a great guy! My husband and I met him through car shopping and were instantly stuck by his easy going demeanor. We told him when we were ready to buy we would look him up and that's exactly what we did this past Jan. He was a delight to talk and work with and we planned to stay in touch and buy our next vehicle from him as well. We exchanged a few emails and figured we drop in on him from time to time while getting our new car serviced. We were never so shocked as to open the newspaper this morning and see his picture and obituary. I pray for all his family and friends during this most difficult time. We will never forget our friend...Barret. May he rest in peace.

Carolyn, I see your face, Elvis' and Kendra's face and I pray for Jesus to hold you up to get you to a place of peace. Carolyn - you and I have been through a lot and even though we don't live next door like we used to we are best friends and remained a part of each others lives. I treasure our friendship and want you to know that I am here for you, if not always by your side, in your heart as I keep you in my heart. I love you. Laura

B,
You were always there when I needed you. You were always there to provide laughter and joy. In the short time you were on earth, so many were blessed by your friendship. It is hard to imagine you not being here, hard to make it feel real. But I know you are in a better place and are at peace. I will miss you my friend. I cherished your friendship, your laughter and your encouraging words. Know that you were loved. Know that you will be missed. Know that you did make a difference; you made the world a brighter place. Be at peace now my friend, be at peace.
