Geraldine Mantiply Millner

Geraldine Mantiply Millner, 81, of Evington, died Friday, Nov. 19, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the widow of Lacy Howard Millner.

Born in Lynchburg, she was the daughter of the late Daniel Mantiply and the late Bessie Mays Mantiply. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, James Winston Epperson, and one stepdaughter, Lillian M. Blankenship.

Geraldine was a member of Gospel Light Baptist Church and a retired employee of Sam's Club.

She was also a retired employee of the Chap Stick Corp. after 30 years of service.

She is survived by three stepsons, Thomas L. Millner and his wife, Elvira, of Amherst, and Glenn H. Millner and Kim L. Millner, both of Patterson, N.J.; one sister, Evelyn M. Keesee, of Lynchburg; 10 grandchildren, Michael W. Epperson, Charlotte Ann Smith and her husband, Al, Tommy, Joe, Ben, Zachary and Jeremiah Millner, and Mark, Richard and Brittany Blankenship; and eight great- grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 23, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel by the Rev. Scott Dean. Interment will follow in Fort Hill Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 22, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
