Marguerite Wilmouth Obituary
Marguerite Peak Wilmouth, 79, of Lynchburg, passed away Thursday, Oct. 28, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital. She was the wife of Robert E. Wilmouth Sr.
Marguerite was born Feb. 23, 1931, in Halifax County, a daughter of the late Bernice and Robert Peak. She was a member of Indian Hill United Methodist Church.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Geraldine P. Washington, and her husband Gus; her brother, William L. Peak, and his wife, Rose; and her sister-in-law, Stephanie Peak.
Along with her husband, Robert, Marguerite is survived by her daughter, Susan W. Jones, and her husband, Barry; her three sons, Robert E. "Bob" Wilmouth Jr. and his wife, Vicki, Steven C. Wilmouth and his wife, Annie, and Kevin W. Wilmouth and his wife, Jerri Beth; her two brothers, Robert D. Peak and his wife, Sylvia, and Herbert Ray Peak; 12 grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be conducted at 2 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 31, 2010, at Indian Hill United Methodist Church, with the Rev. George Hatmaker and the Rev. Lenn Lloyd officiating. Burial will follow in the Indian Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. today, Oct. 30, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel and other times at the residence of her daughter, Susan Jones.

I just learned about Marguerite's passing and am so sorry for your loss. Marguerite's mother and my mother (Lalia) were sisters - I remember Marguerite from get togethers long ago at Grandma Puckett's. I am thinking of you,her family, at this time.

Robert and Family, Johnny and I were out of town at the timing of Marguerite's passing and I am so sorry because I would have been there.
