PAULINE MARTIN Obituary

Pauline Horton Martin

Pauline Horton Martin, 85, of Lynchburg, died Monday, Nov. 29, 2010, at Virginia Baptist Hospital. She was the wife of the late Henry Frank Martin Sr. Born Jan. 5, 1925, in Amelia, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Horton and Bertha Horton Horton.

Mrs. Martin was a retired switchboard operator for Centra Health and a member of Sandusky Baptist Church.

In addition to her husband and parents, Mrs. Martin is preceded in death by one son, Ronald W. Martin; three brothers and four sisters.

Mrs. Martin is survived by two sons, Henry Frank Martin Jr. and his wife Brenda, of Lynchburg and Jerry C. Martin and his wife Elaine, also of Lynchburg; and one daughter, Patricia M. Baber and her husband Michael, of Forest; three grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A funeral service will be conducted 1:00 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 2, 2010, at Sandusky Baptist Church with the Rev. Ed Vogt, the Rev. Bobby Wood and the Rev. Ralph Jackson officiating. Entombment will follow at Fort Hill Memorial Park Mausoleum.

The family will receive friends 6 to 7:30 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 1, 2010, at Whitten Timberlake Chapel.
