Mrs. Horsley was my Sunday School teacher when I was 5 years old. After 50 years, she still remembered who I was and would call me by name. She was a great Christian lady and I loved her dearly. Judy Bell (Granddaughter of Mr & Mrs Walker Mayberry)

Mrs. Horsley was one of the most godest women that i have ever known. she was the sweetest and most kindest person that you would want to know. I know that one day i will see her again. i know that she is in heaven and that her and my mother have been talking to each other ever since she arrived. Her family can truly rise up and call her blessed.

Amanda was my lovely grandmother. I will miss her loving spirit and good advice. I will miss her great sense of humor and how she would laugh when she teased someone. I will miss the deep sense of peace and quietness that seemed to surround her. I will miss knowing she occupies this world with me.
But I have hope and I know I'll see her again. I am comforted by the Great Comforter and I can say with Paul - O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory?
1 Corinthians 15:55

Rest in peace my dear, dear Grandmother. I love you.

I am one of the 30 greats mentioned above. Granny is the Great though. she is the one and only Great Granny I ever had and I know Granny wouldn't even want to be lifted up because she always gave God the glory but Granny was an inspiration to many people in our family. She was most importantly a prayer warrior. Granny spent many hours a day praying for people. There is a pretty good chance you were mentioned in some of those prayers. Granny is very special to me and I will miss her dearly. The wonderful thing is that I won't miss her for long. We have the hope beyond the grave that Jesus gave us when he died on the cross and arose again three days later. Granny, we miss you and love you with all of our hearts. The tears will probably be around for a while but they are tears of joy in remembrance of how wonderful and special you were to us. See you in Heaven. I love you.

Dear family of Amanda Horsley;
I am a great nephew of Mrs. Horsley. My grandfather was her half brother(William A. Napier). I first met her about 10 years ago at Thomas Road Baptist Church, where she was so faithful until she couldn't physically go anymore. She was always very pleasant to talk to and always seemed that she had just been with the Lord. A very sweet person. I know that she is with the Lord now and at rest! I am very honored to have known her. May the family be comforted by His love at this time. God bless you all.
