Carolyn Lloyd Casey

Carolyn Lloyd Casey, 56, of Amherst, died Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Lynchburg General Hospital. Born Aug. 28, 1954, in Amherst, she was the daughter of the late William Ross Lloyd Jr. and Mildred Elizabeth Burks Lloyd.

Carolyn was a housekeeper for the Central Virginia Training Center.

In addition to her parents, Carolyn is preceded in death by two brothers, Roger L. Lloyd and William Eugene Lloyd, and one sister, Nancy Louise Lloyd.

Carolyn is survived by one son, Brian Casey, and one daughter, Melissa Casey, both of Amherst; one brother, Warren Lloyd, and his wife, Teresa, of Rustburg; three sisters, Pamela Campbell, Judith Yancey and Agnes Wade Kirk, all of Amherst; sisters-in-law, Marion F. Lloyd, of Madison Heights, and Jeanette C. Lloyd, of Amherst; and two granddaughters, Sarah Lynn Casey and Megan Elizabeth Casey.

A funeral service will be conducted at 7 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Whitten Monelison Chapel, with the Rev. Charles Anderson officiating. The family will receive friends following the service until 8:30 p.m., Wednesday, Sept. 15, 2010, at Whitten Monelison Chapel and at other times at the residence of Marion F. Lloyd.

I'm sorry to hear of your mother's passing. I knew her briefly from CVTC. I understand your loss. I lost my parents a few years ago.
