She was such a sweet lady, she made me feel so welcomed in her home. I loved the way the deer would come by and introduce the babies to her each season. She was more precious than rubies...

Dear Bill and Kirk, A friend in Lynchburg just called me and told me of Jean's passing. I'm still in shock and so very sorry to hear this news. I was concerned when I didn't hear from her during Christmas, but knowing how day to day things were hard for her to remember I put off getting touch with you, and I'm so sorry I didn't. Jean was a dear friend and she and Pete and my husband and I were friends during college, and we stood with them when they got married, and kept in touch through the years as much as possible with us living in Atlanta, and you all in Va. Please know you have my deepest sympathy. Ann Noel
