Lillie Angeline "Angie" B. Wood

Lillie Angeline "Angie" B. Wood, 77, of Lynchburg, died Friday, Sept. 17, 2010. She was the wife of Layden B. Wood Jr.

Angie was born Nov. 11, 1932, in Lynchburg, a daughter of the late Willie E. Baker and Juanita Ella Baker.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by three sons, Layden B. Wood III and wife, Rosie, Jeffrey Alan Wood and wife, Brenda, and Edward L. (Larry) Wood and wife, Lisa; a sister, Frances Wilmer; nine grandchildren, Nikki, Amy, Jesse, Emily, Ben, Gene, Christie, Casey Wood and wife, Jill, and Blaire Flowers and husband, Brad; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan and Jacob Flowers and Lilly and Alexis Wood.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Edward L. Baker.

The family will receive friends from 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19, 2010, at Tharp Funeral Home, Lynchburg.
