Ocie Hudson Obituary

Ocie Kenneth Hudson

Ocie Kenneth Hudson, 66, of Lynchburg, died Friday, Sept. 3, 2010.

Ocie was born in Lynchburg, a son of the late Charles Edward Hudson and the late Varnie Riley Hudson.

He is survived by his loving wife, Darcy Hudson; a son, Charles Edward Hudson of Lynchburg; his daughters, Rebecca Hudson, of Lynchburg, and Michelle R. Maretich, of Pennsylvania; a special friend, Joel Enochs, of Lynchburg, and three grandchildren.

He served our country in the U.S. Army-Airborne during Vietnam, was a handyman helping anyone who needed help and a member of Timberlake Baptist Church.

A memorial service will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2010, at Timberlake Baptist Church, with Pastor James H. Alley officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be sent to Tharp Funeral Home, c/o The Ocie Kenneth Hudson Funeral Fund, P.O. Box 15008, Lynchburg, VA 24502.
