Evelyn Havens Obituary
Evelyn Pisani Havens
Evelyn Pisani Havens, 91, of Forest, passed away Thursday, Nov. 18, 2010, at her home she shared with her husband. Born Nov. 25, 1918, in Haskell, New Jersey to Lewis and Adeline Calzaretta Pisani.
In addition to her parents, Evelyn was preceded in death by four sisters; Ann, Catherine, Connie and Ruthy; and a brother, Fred.
Evelyn is survived by her loving husband of 65 years, John Havens; their son, John and his wife, Diane; a grandson, Ian; a brother, Salvador Pisani and his wife, Joan and their family and Alex Pisani and his wife, Beatrice; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Evelyn was a member of Bethany United Methodist Church. She gave her heart to the Lord at an early age and was never ashamed to stand up for Jesus! Romans 15:13
Memorial contributions may be made to the Choir Building Fund at Bethany United Methodist Church, 1276 Bethany Circle Rd., Forest, VA 24551.
A celebration of Evelyn's life will be conducted at 11 a.m., Monday, Nov.22, 2010, at Bethany United Methodist Church with the Rev. Tom Thomas officiating. Burial will follow in Virginia Memorial Park.
The family will receive friends from 2 to 4 p.m., Sunday, Nov. 21, 2010, at Tharp Funeral Home & Crematory, Bedford, 586-3443.
