CALVIN ANDERSON Obituary
Calvin R. Anderson departed this life on Thursday, October 7, 2010 at his residence. He was born on November 29, 1923 to the late Warrick Anderson and Lucinda Powell Anderson.
He is survived by a devoted companion and former wife, Alroy M. Anderson; his children, Cheryl A. Carter, Nanette A. Jackson, Janet A. Patterson all of Lynchburg, Kim A. Smith of Madison Heights and Calvin R. Anderson of Washington, DC; a sister, Doris A. Green of Washington, DC ; a brother, James O. Green of Lynchburg; 12 grandchildren, many grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be conducted 1pm Monday, October 11, 2010 at Community Funeral Home with Rev. Johnny Ford officiating. Interment will be in the Baptist Cemetery. The family is receiving friends and the cortege will assemble 212 Morgan St. Condolences may be emailed to [email protected] Community Funeral Home directing.

Aunt Alroy,
My Condolences go out to you and your family. Uncle Calvin was my inspiration for going into the military for twenty years. I loved seeing him come over dads house in that uniform. May God bless you all with great memories and give you comfort in a time of sorry!
