Anna Byrd Wheaton

Dr. Anna Byrd Wheaton, RN, RRA, born Nov. 13, 1910, in Bronx, N.Y., passed away peacefully Sept. 3, 2010, at 5:30 a.m. at the Keystone Rehab. & Health Center in Kissimmee, Fla.

She was the widow of Philip W. Eastman (1968) and later of the Rev. Dr. Richard A. Wheaton (1994). She moved to Kissimmee in 2002 from Concord and joined St. Luke Missionary Baptist Church. During her stay in Virginia, she was a member of the First St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Rustburg.

She leaves to cherish the memory of her love and caring a daughter, Dr. Ann Y. Tyler; grandchildren, Annette and William Ellison, Robert Tyler and Deandre Davis; a god-daughter, Anna M. Pinellas; and a host of nieces, nephews, great-grands, in-laws, family and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, Sept. 13, 2010, at the First St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church in Rustburg, with the Rev. Dr. Jack Wilson officiating. Interment will be in the church cemetery. Viewing will be held from 10 a.m. until the time of the service at 1 p.m. The cortege will assemble at the church.
