The first time I met Heavy was at E.C. Glass High School at a football game.It was the first time my brother had ever taken me to meet a girl. I knew this was serious and sure enough she became his wife.Their life together was short but did bless them with his only child,Crystal Renee. Later on, she was blessed with a cotton-topped little boy,Mark Allen. Heavy was known for many things, but above all,she was Crystal & Mark Allen's MOM. They had the best!

I worked with Cathy at the old City Jail and we had alot of laughs. I know that she is in a much better place however I know that she will be greatly missed. Sam you were great for standing by her side and my heart aches for you and her family. Gone way too soon, but she doesn't have to hurt anymore. May GOD bless the family and friends. I didn't know Cathy personally but i do know how much my mom Pasty R. Ford loved her so i wrote a poem for everyone grieving her lost and my mom wanted me to put it on here. The name of the poem is LOSS.

We all experience loss,
Some greater than others,
Some people take it better than others,
And become a pillar for others,
To help them through such a tough time,
They reminise about better times,
Remembering the ones they lost,
Slowly helping to relieve some pain,
Unfortunately it will always be there,
To some degree whether small or large,
All you can do is remember,
Remember them and their stories,
And share these memories with others,
So that they can also celebrate,
Celebrate the one's we lost in life,
And they will forever and always,
Remain in our hearts and minds,
Reminding us of the ones we loved and lost,
Now they are watching over us,
As angels in Heaven.

"Go rest high on that moutain, your work on earth is done...." You were an angel here on this earth, now you are in heaven watching over everyone. You will be missed so much but our memories will comfort us. Love you!

Cathy was such a "TROOPER" in her battle with cancer. She helped me tremendously in 2008/2009 as I went through treatments also. She gave me such hope & courage to keep fighting. Thanks Cathy for being my prayer partner. Your family at Salem UMC will miss you greatly but you will not be forgotten. Our prayers are with the family & Sam at this time.

Crystal, Mark and Family:
I am so sorry to hear of your loss. Cathy was such a sweet and kind person. May her courageous fight that she fought give others the strength and inspiration to do so as well. Kim, Wanda, Brenda and family:

With tears in my eyes I am writing this memorial to Cathy. She loved me enough to help me understand my sister's brief but courageous battle with cancer. Cathy always referred to me as "baby girl" whenever we spoke and it always made me feel so special. Always remember that she is now in a better place without any more pain and suffering and that we all one day see her again. Cherish the memories......I will.........
